The world-renowned Italian fine-dining group Da Vittorio, which has eight Michelin stars worldwide, is reshaping Vietnam’s high-end cuisine with the opening of its new two-story restaurant in The Reverie Saigon.
Da Vittorio Saigon, which was officially opened in June and blends classical Italian gastronomy with a sophisticated design, stands out as the first European branch of the 2-Michelin-starred Da Vittorio Shanghai restaurant, opened in 2019.
Da Vittorio was founded in 1966 by his wife, Bruna, who, together with Vittorio Cerea, opened a restaurant in Bergamo, northern Italy. Over the next 56 years it has earned a reputation as one of the world’s best and most authentic Italian culinary experiences. Da Vittorio today; It continues to serve as a family business managed by Bruna and her five children.
The menu at Da Vittorio Saigon is inspired by the menu of Da Vittorio’s three Michelin-starred restaurant in Brusaporto, Italy. Among the signature dishes; Next to the table is the delicious “Vittorio Style Paccheri Pasta” with a thick and creamy tomato sauce heated in a copper pan and spooned into fresh Parmesan cheese.
Another signature dish, Egg à la Egg, made Da Vittorio famous when it single-handedly earned its third Michelin star in 2010. Food full of flavor; It combines free-range chicken and quail eggs, salmon eggs and potato mousse with Oscietra caviar on top. Other dishes on the multi-course tasting menus (or à la carte menus) feature fresh seafood prominently.
Da Vittorio Saigon Executive Chef Matteo Fontana has worked with the Cerea family at Brusaporto restaurants, where he plans to update the menu regularly and constantly use the freshest and highest quality ingredients with a focus on seasonality.
Known for its traditional and contemporary Italian design and craftsmanship, Da Vittoria, like The Reverie Saigon itself, draws attention with its stylish elegance. The 70-seat restaurant, spread over two floors in the Times Square Building; It is aimed for guests to experience both classical and modern styles with tile mosaics, elegant wooden furniture, bright yellow Spanish marble. The dining room is located on the B1 level, under the floor, in a large 1000 square meter area that ensures privacy.
