After the Bib Gourmand distinction receivers were announced, the fourth edition of Michelin Guide Thailand gave out its stars. This year’s guide also included the Michelin Green Star, Michelin Guide Young Chef Award and Michelin Guide Service Award in addition to 28 recipients of the Michelin stars.
Pru, a restaurant in Bangkok received its first star as well as becoming the first recipient of the Michelin Green Star in Thailand. Saawaan’s chef Sujira “Aom” Pongmorn was awarded with Michelin Young Chef Award while two-Michelin-starred Chef’s Table became the winner of Michelin Guide Service Award. The guide included 6 restaurants with two stars, and 22 restaurants with one star with 2 new entries. 106 restaurants (17 of which were new additions) were named under the Bib Gourmand distinction while 165 venues with 32 new entries were named Michelin Plate restaurants.
